David Christopher Marty is a technology lawyer specializing in helping early to mid-stage startups identify and address legal and regulatory risks. His expertise is in consumer protection issues, including privacy, data security, competition law, unfair and deceptive trade practices, AI ethics and regulation, and marketing law. He’s also a strong technology generalist, having overseen all legal work for major product and engineering divisions within Uber, during his time as Legal Director there. Prior to his legal career, David worked as a product manager in the tech industry. Outside his legal practice, David is a board advisor, angel investor, surfer, musician, and private pilot.
